Just a few days ago, artist Sound Remedy came out with a remix of Carousel’s “Let’s Go Home,” which has been spreading throughout the electronic blog scene like wildfire. I heard it and loved it almost as much as I loved the last remix I heard which was his remix to Noosa’s “Walk On By”. I therefore decided that instead of focusing on one of his songs or remixes, I’m going to just write about his music in general. This guy only came on my radar relatively recently when a friend started playing him religiously and, after asking at least five times what artist I was listening to, I decided I needed to check him out for myself. This guy is a brilliant remixer. I really like his originals, especially “Ocean Carnival” and “Reach for the Stars”, but his remixes are simply amazing. He adds a really special twist to every song he takes on, he’s not afraid to work with any type of genre (as clearly demonstrated with his remixes of Boys Noize, Beethovan, and Mumford and Sons), and he manages to avoid having his sound become too repetitive. This guy is a brilliant artist, definitely check out his music and enjoy!
